Information

Privacy notice.

Who is responsible

The School of International Financial Services (SIFS), trading as The Professional Services Awards, is responsible for information collected through this programme. Contact enquiries@theprofessionalservicesawards.com for privacy requests.

Information we collect

We collect contact and organisation details, entries and supporting documents, judging applications, partnership enquiries, booking and guest information, and records needed for security and administration.

Why we use it

We use information to administer the awards, assess entries, respond to requests and arrange the ceremony. The lawful basis may be consent, contractual necessity or legitimate interests, depending on the purpose. Dietary and accessibility information is used only to arrange appropriate attendance.

Confidentiality and sharing

Entries are shared only with the awards team and assigned judges under confidentiality undertakings. Service providers process information to operate the website, store records and deliver emails. Venue staff receive the guest details necessary for the evening.

Retention and security

We retain records only for as long as necessary for the programme, financial obligations and the integrity of judging. Access is restricted. Private documents use time-limited links. The organiser will confirm a detailed retention schedule before entry opens.

Your rights

Under the Data Protection (Jersey) Law 2018, you may have rights of access, correction, erasure, restriction, objection and portability. You can withdraw consent where processing relies on it. You may raise a concern with the Jersey Office of the Information Commissioner.

Draft for approval

This notice is a working draft. The organiser must confirm retention periods, processor arrangements and any international transfer safeguards before launch.
